whilst always remaining light hearted and fun.

The first book in the series is available to buy below or at any of my live events. The second book is out soon...follow me on social media for updates!

'WHO'S AT HATTIE'S?

Imagine Hattie's surprise when she wakes up one night to find Henry VIII and his famous wives in her kitchen!

She discovers what happened all those years ago in Tudor times and decides to tell the King exactly what she thinks of his actions!

Will he listen?

Will Hattie be sent to The Tower?

Or will Henry understand the modern world that Hattie lives in?'

Children's books by Charlotte Eaton
“Beautifully written and beautifully illustrated. Looking forward to many more publications from Charlotte Eaton. My kids will be first in the queue!!"
"My daughter loves this book, it has now been read countless times. It's funny and full of key facts about Henry VIII's wives which makes learning so fun."
“Great book for children to learn some history in a fun fun way. Beautifully written with wonderful illustrations.”
“What a fantastic book.
Brings history to life in an educational way, along with some humour.
But mostly it will get children thinking of how different life is now.”
“It is so refreshing to find a book for a reader in the ‘in between’ stage. I can only commend the author for her vivacious insight to teaching history through the power of story telling.”

I now visit schools delivering engaging and fun assemblies where I read

'There's a King in the Kitchen',

talk about the characters, the history and my writing process.

I thoroughly enjoy introducing the story to new audiences.

The book is available to buy above or in person from me at any live event.

There's a Business Woman in the Bathroom

COMING SOON!

There's a Business Woman in the Bathroom

My second book in the series is 'There’s a Business Woman in the Bathroom' and is due to be released this summer 2025. It is all about Mary Seacole, the amazing lady who helped soldiers during the Crimean war.

'Hattie couldn’t believe it when she found Mary Seacole in her bathroom!

What on earth was she doing in there? Having a bath?

Join Hattie as she learns the inspirational story of a woman who journeyed to Crimea to help the injured soldiers and fought for what she believed in, whilst battling prejudice along the way.

A fun but educational story, told through rhyming verse.'

Stories about Frida Kahlo and Alice Ball coming soon!

Thanks for your message. I will be in touch soon!

As so many people did during lockdown, I decided to try something new!

I had written some play scripts in the past but never a children’s book so I thought

now would be a fantastic time to give it a go!

After brainstorming with my lovely friends at SuperKid Stories I landed the idea to make my daughter Hattie the central character in a series of books about historical characters.

But where to begin?

Well, Hattie had an obsession with the Tudors and I decided Henry the VIII would be an excellent place to start!

Deciding to write my book entirely in rhyme I set about crafting the story around my kitchen where Hattie would find her first set of visitors.

The book There’s a King in the Kitchen became an immediate hit with Hattie and her

friends and I was thrilled when I had it published and was able to share it with the world.
